// work with me

Your product,in a real build.

I make long-form videos about handheld computers, synths and music gear, and AI developer tools, and I ship open-source projects that use them. When I work with a brand, the product does real work on camera.

// working together

How we might work together

Nothing off a rate card. If your product fits what I make, we'll shape something around it together.

Channel

On the channel

Your product showing up where it belongs, doing real work in a video. The format depends on the product and the story.

Build

In a build

For hardware and developer tools, sometimes the best demo is a real project made with it.

A few builds a year, scoped and quoted individually.

What is an integration build? ↓

Audio

Music licensing

Original lofi and ambient tracks for your videos, streams, or launches.

Fit comes first. I only feature products I'd actually use. Tell me about yours; if it isn't a match, I'll say so, no hard feelings.

Every project is scoped and quoted individually. I take on a few builds a year, so timelines run in weeks and I'll be upfront about availability.

// integration builds

What's an integration build?

Instead of talking about your product, I build something real with it, open-source it, and film it working. Your product becomes the foundation of a tool people can actually download and use, long after the video is out.

Think of it as

  • A working example of your product in a real project, not a staged demo
  • Developer documentation that shows how your SDK, API, board, or device fits into a real workflow
  • Content with a long tail: people find the repo and the page through search for months

What you get

  • An open-source project on GitHub (MIT license) built with your product, with a README and setup guide
  • A long-form video showing the build and the result, with your product clearly disclosed
  • A permanent page on lofifren.com linking the video, the code, and your product

The kind of thing I build

PicoCalc MCP, Ableton MCP and Key Wheel are my own projects, not sponsored work, but they show what an integration build looks like. See the shipped work →

How it works

  1. Intro. You tell me about the product. If it's a fit, we agree on a build idea together.
  2. Scope & quote. I send a written scope, timeline, and price. 50% upfront to start.
  3. Build. You send the hardware or access; I build, test, and document it. You can fact-check before release.
  4. Launch. Code, video, and page go live together. The remaining 50% is due at launch.

Ongoing maintenance, use of the video in your own ads, and category exclusivity are available as add-ons. Every project is scoped and quoted individually. Looking for development work beyond the channel? See AI development.

Why it works

Proof

I ship real tools

cr8script, Ableton MCP and PicoCalc MCP are on PyPI, PicoCalc MCP is listed on the MCP Registry, and Key Wheel is a free Omarchy plugin. See projects

Depth

Hands-on, not unboxing

Firmware updates, OS installs, modulation deep-dives, running Linux on handhelds. Videos show the product doing real work.

Fit

A focused audience

Makers, developers and music producers who buy hardware, synths and dev tools, and watch long-form to decide.

// disclosure

Disclosure & honesty policy

I only take on products I'd use myself. Being paid doesn't change that.

Sponsored content is always disclosed, on screen, in the video description, and on any page here that covers it.

Brands don't approve opinions. You can check facts and specs before publishing; the verdict stays mine.

Gifted products are disclosed too. If something was sent free, the video says so.

Affiliate links are labeled. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases, and every page with affiliate links says so.

Have a product worth building with?

Tell me about it. If it's a good fit, I'll come back with ideas.
